The Nursing Assistant class will provide students with the knowledge foundation of the certified nursing assistant profession. Students will learn how to assist patients with activities of daily living and report to the nurse about their patient care assignments. The student will complete the state certifying exam. All class hours must be completed, and all classes are non-refundable. Pre-requisite: Must be 18 years of age. Must be able to pass a background check.

This program is to assist each facility in training a CNA mentor, under the supervision of a Nurse Manger, to assist and support with the integration of a new employees in providing excellent care by following state and federal regulations, facility policies, ethical and moral values. All class hours must be completed, and all classes are non-refundable.
ITEMIZEDThe Resident Care Assistant/Hospitality Attendant will assist the facility staff with personal care and attention for the residents, family, and other team members. Course includes Feed assistance, customer service, and basic skills in assisting with activities of daily living.

The paid feeding assistant program will assist the facility staff, family, or hired personal to provide nutrition and hydration support to residents who may be at risk for unplanned weight loss, dehydration, who cannot or do not eat independently due to physical or cognitive disabilities, or those who simply need cueing or encouragement to eat.
ITEMIZEDCourse is taught for Basic lifesaving skills to be used in the public setting or in a professional setting.
ITEMIZEDThe curriculum is consistent as outlined by the New Mexico Board of Nursing, which will teach the knowledge and skills necessary for competent and safe medication preparation and administration. Upon completion of the course the medication Aide sit for the NM BON CMA I exam.

ITEMIZEDNursing Restorative Program will provide special knowledge, skills, and techniques in therapeutic rehabilitation as prescribed and supervised by licensed personnel. The RNA will learn the expanded role, which involves increased interaction, communication, and monitoring responsibilities with the therapy department in a long-term care facility. Pre-requisite: Certified Nursing Assistant for 6 months.
